been taken as a reference, s<strong>in</strong>ce <strong>the</strong> table is <strong>in</strong>tended to show <strong>the</strong> evolution of government agendas.<br />

In Argent<strong>in</strong>a, <strong>the</strong> quota law (1991), <strong>the</strong> decree that regulates it (2000) <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> plan of equal opportunities <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> labour market (1998), which has force of law, have been key<br />
<strong>in</strong>struments form<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> basis for policies <strong>in</strong> more specific areas, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> pension system, as well as notable progress <strong>in</strong> women’s representation <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> legislative branch.
