Enable STP operation.
Select one of:
STP Basic Spanning Tree Protocol
RSTP Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (default)
PVST+ Per-VLAN Spanning Tree Protocol
In STP and RSTP mode, there is only one row in the table to
describe the Common Spanning Tree (CST).
In PVST+ mode, the table lists the per-VLAN STP instances.
CST in STP and RSTP mode, otherwise the VLAN ID.
This field is blank if the FortiGate-224B is the root switch.
Otherwise, it shows the switch port through which the root
switch can be reached.
A value based on the speed of the interface.
This field is blank if the FortiGate-224B is the root switch.
Bridge priority of the root switch. The lower the value, the
higher the priority. This is used for spanning tree calculations.
The MAC address of the root switch. If the FortiGate-224B unit
is the root switch, the MAC address is that of the SWLAN.
The interval in seconds that a switch waits without receiving
spanning-tree configuration messages before it attempts a
reconfiguration.
The interval in seconds between hello message broadcasts to
other switches.
The duration in seconds of the listening and learning states
before the interface begins forwarding.
Edit the switch port STP parameters. See “Configuring
Spanning-Tree VLAN settings” on page 216.
View information about the spanning-tree configuration,
including bridge identifier and priority. In PVST+ mode, you can
view information for each VLAN.
