“Tokidokis World” - Tokidoki<br />
An inventive marketing action for the launch of<br />
one automobile brought up the creation of one<br />
of the most inventive hotels in Europe: the hotel<br />
Fox in Kopenhagen share a name with one of<br />
the smallest new Volkswagen model, but the campaigne<br />
overgrew the little car and became its own story.<br />
In 2004 Volkswagen marketing agency supported by<br />
many creative persons announced a competition for<br />
young artists, designers and inventive hotel managers<br />
and chefs for designing the new Fox.<br />
Last year in April among all designers, comic strip drawers,<br />
graphite artists, illustrators and painters that applied<br />
for the competition twenty the best designer groups<br />
were chosen. They spent three weeks in, until than, quite<br />
insignificant three-star hotel Park, transforming it into the<br />
most incredible fun, at moment even deliric “in” place<br />
for young travellers – the hotel Fox. The same process has<br />
been applied in transforming an abandoned warehouse<br />
to the Club Fox and an factory area into the Studio Fox.<br />
Clubs are designed in a common modern design way so<br />
to speak but the rooms are quite different story. There is<br />
a monster silluette on the wall saying “Sleep!“ or a fairy<br />
tail princess image – all these rooms are worthy to stay in.<br />
And exactly that happened to all auto-jurnalists when for<br />
the first time step into the renovated hotel for the presentation<br />
of the new automobile Fox.<br />
Each one of 61 rooms has its own character and story:<br />
you may feel like immersing into the enchanted forest,<br />
the Addams house, box ring, camping place or directly<br />
into the Japanese Manga cartoon. Young artists from<br />
thirteen countries did not restrain from even the most<br />
revolutionary designs, and the result that remained as a<br />
