APPENDIX 5/2: SERVICE DUCT REQUIREMENTS 1 Details of the typical duct construction are shown on Drawing No. I2, MCDHW, Volume 3, “Highway Construction Details”. Details for duct chamber as show on Contract drawings Drawing No. 073030/GA/25. 2 The location, size and type of the service ducts are detailed on the Contract Drawings. 3 Bedding material should be Quarry dust in footways; In-situ concrete mix ST2 (Class E) in carriageway crossings. 4 Backfilling of Service Ducts in proposed carriageway and footway, shall be Type 3 Clause 850NI from duct surround to formation level. Service Ducts in existing carriageway backfill shall be Concrete ST2 from duct surround to basecourse level; In-situ concrete mix ST2 (Class E) in carriageway crossings 5. Colour coding of ducts is to be in accordance with Health and Safety Executive booklet HS(G)47 6. Location of the existing public services, based on Statutory Bodies record information, is shown on the Services drawings 194
APPENDIX 5/7 TERMOPLASTIC STRUCTURAL WALL PIPES AND FITTINGS The Contractor shall provide the following information, in accordance with sub-Clause 518.2 for the range of pipes and fittings (To be verified by the Certification body – see sub-Clause 518.15): a.
