The noise levels values are well below the acceptable standard noise
levels.
H. Water Environment
Assessment of baseline data on water environment includes
• Identification of surface water sources
• Identification of ground water sources
• Collection of water samples
• Analyzing water samples for physio-chemical and biological
parameters
Assessment of water quality in the study area includes the water quality
testing and assessment per the Indian standard IS 10500 (drinking water
standard). The locations of water sampling are shown in Fig 3.7 water
samples from various locations in and around the lant site within 10 km
radius were collected for assessment of the physico-chemical and
bacteriological quality. Methodologies adopted for sampling and analysis
were according to the IS methods.
Field parameters such as pH, Temperature and Dissolved Oxygen were
tested at site. The parameters thus analyzed were compared with IS
10500. Details of water sampling locations are given in table below.
