Chairs Cone and HeartCone, <strong>with</strong> their courageous, screaming colours and dram<strong>at</strong>icshapes, have introduced pop-art and contributedto the general trend of challenging and questioning establishedand conventional forms of social interaction.The very first Cone Chair, covered in red fabric, was designedfor restaurant Komi-Gen and was produced in verylimited edition. Its structure consisted of a metal pieceshaped like a cone, which rot<strong>at</strong>ed on two pieces th<strong>at</strong>cre<strong>at</strong>ed a cross-like base. Panton’s life story begins in a small Danish villagewhere he was born.
