Soba u stilu 30-ih / 30’s style roomsculptor Michael Dreher and painter Delphine Buhro,derived elements of th<strong>at</strong> tradition from the pop-culturalelements of design, fashion and music throughout thelast six decades of the twentieth century. By using thisglobal vision, the hotel wants to introduce the visitor tothe virtues th<strong>at</strong> are most emphasized – refreshing innov<strong>at</strong>ionand gre<strong>at</strong> <strong>at</strong>tention to details. Another specialdimension is provided in extremely successful organiz<strong>at</strong>ionand motiv<strong>at</strong>ion in the arrangement of these details,which doesn’t affect the hotel’s sense of spontaneity;in fact, it introduces a dose of playfulness and casualdecor th<strong>at</strong> completely elimin<strong>at</strong>es a stiff and serious approachto design. In order to avoid this playfulness doingany harm to the hotel’s quality of structure, the authorssystem<strong>at</strong>ically used the finest top-quality m<strong>at</strong>erialssuch as soft knitwear, which was combined <strong>with</strong> roughle<strong>at</strong>her and glossy copper m<strong>at</strong>rixes. As far as coloursgo, the rooms are domin<strong>at</strong>ed by the blue colour in cobaltand azure tones, in addition to turquoise, ultramarineand indigo.The hotel’s functionality is evident in its 76 rooms, whichare significantly placed in M, L and XL c<strong>at</strong>egories, andwhich are designed individually <strong>with</strong> usage of theabovementioned shades of blue as their basic differentialcriterion. Besides colour, the rooms are also furnisheddifferently – furniture, lamps, carpets, wallpapersand basic m<strong>at</strong>erials are also divided in three basic c<strong>at</strong>egories.Five rooms are fe<strong>at</strong>ured in the highest XL c<strong>at</strong>egory,while all the guests can also use a unique 100-m2guest space and an <strong>at</strong>tractive roof terrace.Due to the fact th<strong>at</strong> the entire hotel varies from the<strong>at</strong>mospheric “classic” context to the “stonewashed”everyday <strong>at</strong>mosphere, one of the added brands is presentedin the form of famous Frankfurt c<strong>at</strong>ering serviceNykke & Kokki. Restaurant Red Tab is also identified asan everyday place <strong>with</strong> a “down to earth” feel. Levi’svalues have found their gastronomic interpret<strong>at</strong>ion inoffering the finest <strong>home</strong>made bread and accompanyingsandwiches, salads and desserts. The food is primarilybased on bread and milk products, as well as a paletteof simple meals like spaghetti, me<strong>at</strong> dishes, soupsand inventive vegetable dishes. The Red Tab cooks displaythe highest level of cre<strong>at</strong>ivity in the salad menuand “cold bread”, which comes in unusual combin<strong>at</strong>ions<strong>with</strong>, for example, c<strong>at</strong>fish, fruit or different pumpkinproducts like oil and seeds.71
