Note:Transport Canada's <strong>Response</strong> and Operations Divisionoperates CANUTEC to provide a 24-hour DangerousGoods reference, data bank and expert assistance service.d) evacuating the area if an explosion is possible;e) establishing and recording information as per TDG Regulation Part8; 8.1- 8.3; and the WCB Act Division 10 – 172; andf) documenting traffic incidents attended by the Contractor, i.e.taking photographs, diary notes, recording <strong>Highway</strong> conditions andlocations relating to; and delivering such documents to theProvince, when requested.Note:Parties responsible for the incident, their insurers, or agencieswhich have jurisdiction over the incident are expected to bear all ofthe costs of vehicle recovery, cleanup, accident investigation andtraffic control. Notwithstanding the above, should the Contractordetermine that actions undertaken by others, or failed to beundertaken by others, have the potential to present a hazard to<strong>Highway</strong> Users, the Contractor will take all necessary actions toprotect <strong>Highway</strong> Users and may submit a claim to the Province forcost recovery.3.1.1 Performance <strong>Time</strong> FramesThe Contractor must:a) immediately, from the time the incident was detected by orreported to the Contractor, implement traffic control;b) within 3 days of the date of request by the Province, forward allphotographs, documentation and records;c) repair damage to <strong>Highway</strong>s in accordance with the appropriate<strong>Maintenance</strong> Specification and their Performance <strong>Time</strong> Frames;andd) within one week of the incident or act of vandalism, complete aChargeable <strong>Maintenance</strong> Cost report and send photographs of thedamage .3.2 Quantified <strong>Maintenance</strong> ServicesNot applicable to this <strong>Maintenance</strong> Specification.2003-2004 <strong>Highway</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> Contracts<strong>Maintenance</strong> SpecificationsFebruary 2003, Revised April 1, 2003 Chapter 7-780 – Page 3
