GENERAL PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONS2.1 Routine <strong>Maintenance</strong> ServicesAll services for this <strong>Maintenance</strong> Specification are Routine.2.2 Quantified <strong>Maintenance</strong> ServicesNot applicable to this <strong>Maintenance</strong> Specification.3. DETAILED PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONS3.1 Routine <strong>Maintenance</strong> ServicesThe Contractor must:a) repair <strong>Highway</strong> structures to a safe and stable condition inaccordance with the specifications referred to in Section B of theIntroduction;b) notify the Province where the safety of <strong>Highway</strong> Users is effected,so that the Bridge Structural Engineer may make an inspection;c) mobilize to brace and support the structure;d) respond immediately if the Bridge Structural Engineer determinesthat there is risk of structural failure under loading, by doing one ofthe following, as approved in writing by the Province:i) restrict allowable loading on the Bridge;ii)close the Bridge to all vehicular traffic; or2003-2004 <strong>Highway</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> Contracts<strong>Maintenance</strong> SpecificationsFebruary 2003, Revised October 30, 2003 Chapter 7-800 – Page 1
