5.4 Additional Options» Reload File The external file referenced by the selected node is reloaded.Before reloading starts you are asked whether you want to keep the currentmaterials. If not, the original materials from the file are applied to the reloadedgeometry. If yes, <strong>VR</strong>ED transfers all material assignments of the node that isreloaded to the new node that is created during reload. This transfer relies on aconsistent naming scheme of the nodes within the hierarchy of the loaded file.If some material assignments could not be restored a message will be displayedthat lists all nodes for which no material assignment could be restored. Selecting”Show Reload Log...” in the menu also shows this message (only availablefor the last reload action).» Replace File...
