Mindset Masters member and had a winner’s attitude to get the job done. No one, and I mean no one, could tear us apart! United we stand, divided we fall. We were charged up and ready to rumble. The game was a nail biter all the way up to the bitter end. No score in the first quarter, just a lot of hard banging and hard hitting on both sides of the ball. Toward the end of the second quarter Ridley scored the first touchdown and got the extra point with 25 seconds left in the half. Going in at halftime we were scoreless and Ridley was up by seven. Emotions and optimism were high, but we were behind. Going in at half time I thought to myself, “Cool, we only need two touchdowns to gain the victory. Problem solved.” Simple, right? But that’s not the way it went down. In the beginning of the third quarter, we finally got a touchdown but missed the extra point. I’m thinking to myself, “No problem, we still have plenty of time left in the game to win.” At the end of the third quarter the score board read Ridley 7 vs. UD 6. Attitudes were positive and emotions were soaring. There was an entire quarter left to turn the tide in our favor. Time was ticking. Our hope and dream was on the line and time was running out. On the second play of the fourth quarter, Ridley facing 4th and 9 on our 26 yard line, the Ridley (QB) connected with his receiver in the right corner of the end zone to make the score 14-­‐6. My energy and emotions were through the roof. I’m thinking to myself, “We just can’t lose. Too much time, energy and effort went into this for us to walk away as losers and not be the 107
