Mindset Masters to be true because I believed it with full conviction. I saw it in my mind months before I ever got to the starting line. It was as clear as if I was watching a movie. It was the big screen of my life, my movie, my story and my legacy. It was fact before it was recorded in the history books. Ask yourself these questions: What do you want in life? What do you want to be remembered for? What do you want to experience? What will be your legacy after you leave? The Winner Is Often Not the Most Talented The world is filled with dream stealers, cynics and defeatists. They are quick to tell you what is possible for you by what they believe is possible for them. Others will spout lots of reasons why you can’t do something because they have always found reasons to remain the same. And they are right. It will not work for them, but that has no relevance on what will work for you. The greatest danger in the world is that you believe them and bring your dreams down to their level because they won’t raise theirs up. The feedback was virtually unanimous when I told my friends and family that I was going to run across America. They all said why I couldn’t do it and why it was “impossible.” I almost believed them. It was one amazing friend that looked me in the eyes and said, “Not only can you, but you must!” I never looked back and never doubted again. Nine months later I was taking my first step from the beaches of San Diego. 100 days later I took my final step on Wall Street, New York City. 118
