Mindset Masters Your team may consist of transcriptionists, graphic designers, website developers and programmers, an affiliate manager, etc. The biggest secret (besides my ninja Project Matrix) to why I launch so many products in such little time is my team. I’ve built a team of experts who assist me in everything from transcription and editing to graphic design and marketing. If you’re writing a book, get a coach, get a high-­‐end book production team, and give your book the greatest chance of success. If you’re creating a digital product, don’t stress over the details of an affiliate system and shopping carts. Hire a computer programmer who understands these nuances and let them handle the messy details. Any money spent in your team will be an investment in your project’s continued success, and will free you up to do what you do best—create! Keeping Momentum Sometimes project creation doesn’t always run as smoothly as we’d like. Computers crash, other ideas crowd our thoughts, Facebook notifications shout for attention, and sometimes it’s simply a cold, dreary, rainy, un-­‐motivating day. With all these distractions, how do you keep your momentum to get that project finished? Here are my top tips for how to retain your energy and motivation, and not lose steam while completing that project: Perfectionism There’s no real secret to getting past perfectionism. If you’re writing a book, turning off spell check can help. Setting a timer to keep you from continuously editing what you’ve written can help as well, as can repeating the mantra, “it’s good enough, it’s good enough,” to yourself all day. My ninja trick for beating my own perfectionist nature is to hire a specific team member you may not have thought of yet: an executive life coach. My life coach is Therese Sparby of 79
