The objective was to distribute and implement 5000 XOlaptops <strong>in</strong>to four primary schools. Two <strong>of</strong> these schools, Menelik and AtseNoad, are located <strong>in</strong> Addis Ababa and were <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> the orig<strong>in</strong>al pilotphase <strong>of</strong> the project <strong>in</strong> 2007 (Everts et al. 2008). The other two schools werechosen by ECBP <strong>for</strong> their rural location and regional diversity. Mulo Sayo issituated a two hour drive from Addis Ababa <strong>in</strong> the Oromo region, and Remasix hours from Addis Ababa <strong>in</strong> the Amhara region.
