Input/Output <strong>Instructions</strong> (MSG, GSV, SSV, IOT) 181Access the CST objectThe CST (coordinated system time) object provides coordinatedsystem time for the devices in one chassis.Attribute Data Type Instruction DescriptionCurrentStatus INT GSV Current status of the coordinated system time. Bits identify:Bit: Meaning0 timer hardware faulted: the device’s internal timerhardware is in a faulted state1 ramping enabled: the current value of the timer’s lower16+ bits ramp up to the requested value, rather than snapto the lower value. These bits are manipulated by thenetwork specific tick synchronization method.2 system time master: the CST object is a master timesource in the ControlLogix system3 synchronized: the CST object’s 64-bit CurrentValue issynchronized by a master CST object via a system timeupdate4 local network master: the CST object is the local networkmaster time source5 in relay mode: the CST object is acting in a time relaymode6 duplicate master detected: a duplicate local network timemaster has been detected. This bit is always 0 fortime-dependent nodes.7 unused8-9 00 = time dependent node01 = time master node10 = time relay node11 = unused10-15 unusedCurrentValue DINT[2] GSV Current value of the timer. DINT[0] contains the lower 32; DINT[1]contains the upper 32 bits.The timer source is adjusted to match the value supplied in updateservices and from local communication network synchronization.
