Among the 41 high TB/HIVburden countries, 15 reported enrolling more than 50%of notified TB patients known to be living with HIV onART in 2011 (Table 7.1, Figure 7.6).Given WHO’s recommendation that all HIV-positiveTB patients are eligible for ART irrespective of their CD4cell-count and the Global Plan’s target of providing ARTto all TB patients known to be living with HIV by 2015(Chapter 1), the coverage of ART for HIV-positive TBpatients needs to be improved.
