116 ENGAGING YOUNG PEOPLE?When we consider <strong>the</strong> patterns for males (Figure 7.7) it appears LCAleavers have lower levels <strong>of</strong> participation in Industry than those who leftprior to completion <strong>of</strong> second-level. Males completing <strong>the</strong> LCAprogramme are typically employed in similar sectors to <strong>the</strong> lowestperforming <strong>Leaving</strong> <strong>Certificate</strong> group, although <strong>the</strong>y are slightly less likelyto be employed in personal services.
