Modifying Dedicated Resources 543To reboot the guest OS, execute the following as root from a shell prompt on the host OS:virsh reboot Just like the shutdown command for virsh, the command returns after sending the action,not after the reboot is complete.TIPAn applet can be added to the desktop panel for quick monitoring of the guestdomains. To add it to the panel, right-click on the panel, select Add to Panel…, andselect VM Applet.Modifying Dedicated ResourcesTo modify the settings for a guest domain using the Virtual Machine Manager, the domainmust be running. Start the domain if necessary before continuing. From the domain list inthe Virtual Machine Manager window, select the desired domain from the list, and selectEdit, Machine details from the pull-down menu. The Overview tab on the Detailswindow shows the VM name, the UUID for the virtual disk, the VM status such asRunning or Paused, the CPU usage, and the memory usage. The Hardware tab as shownin Figure B.15 shows the virtual system resources assigned to the VM.NOTEIf running the Virtual Machine Manager in read-only mode, you are not allowed tochange hardware allocation for the VM.BFIGURE B.15Hardware Allocation for the VM
