454CHAPTER 22Monitoring and Tuning ApplicationsWhen OProfile is stopped, the daemon is stopped, meaning that it stops collectingsamples. Reports can also be generated while the daemon is running if you need to collectsamples at set intervals.Two tools, opreport and opannotate, can be used to analyze the OProfile samples. Theexact executables used to generate the samples must be used with these tools to analyzethe data.
