Select the RAID device name, where md0 is thefirst RAID device, md1 is the second, and so on. Select the desired RAID level (referto Chapter 7 for an explanation of the levels), and select the RAID members fromthe list of RAID partitions created earlier. If RAID 1 or 5 is selected, also select thenumber of spare partitions to create.FIGURE 1.19RAID Device SpecificationsRepeat these steps until all the desired RAID devices are created. All mount points for thesystem do not have to be RAID devices. For example, Figure 1.20 shows all the partitionsas standard disk partitions except for the /home partition because it contains data thatchanges frequently and would most benefit from RAID.
