Training and Employment3.5 Workforce Mobilization and ScheduleAccess to the site will be by air, with two to three flights each week. Flights will connect withregional labour centres and pick-ups for local workers will be provided in Kugluktuk, CambridgeBay and Yellowknife. Most construction workers will stay on-site for several months at a time,working until their jobs are finished. Most of the operational workforce will rotate every twoweeks.3.6 Contracting and ProcurementThe following types of activities and services will be contracted out:• Facility construction;• Engineering;• Concentrate shipping;• Worker mobilization services;• Open pit mining; and• Services such as camp housekeeping, logistics and explosives may be also contracted out.<strong>Sabina</strong> is committed to supporting Kitikmeot businesses where they can deliver a timely,competitive and efficient product. Support will be provided to Kitikmeot businesses to helpthem prepare for bidding on contracts and maximize Inuit content.3.7 Inuit Impact and Benefit Agreement<strong>Sabina</strong> acknowledges that the <strong>Hackett</strong> <strong>River</strong> <strong>Project</strong> is a major development that will result in abenefit to the Inuit within the local communities, the Kitikmeot and Nunavut. <strong>Sabina</strong> alsoacknowledges that some of those benefits will be addressed in the Inuit Impact and BenefitAgreement (IIBA).
