In broad terms, my research is devotedto the analysis of the physical systems showing various types of orders orordering correl<strong>at</strong>ions.This research has direct applic<strong>at</strong>ions for different types of m<strong>at</strong>erials: compoundsdemonstr<strong>at</strong>ing charge or structural order; various magnetics withcompeting types of order; two-dimensional electron gas; and the high-temper<strong>at</strong>urecupr<strong>at</strong>e supercon<strong>du</strong>ctors, which demonstr<strong>at</strong>e an extremely rich phasediagram with different types of order.The physical problems this proposal deals with lie in the core of interests ofthe world’s condensed m<strong>at</strong>ter community. I anticip<strong>at</strong>e th<strong>at</strong> my work will helpin understanding of some of the many fascin<strong>at</strong>ing phenomena th<strong>at</strong> physicsof quantum m<strong>at</strong>erials unveils in abondance.
