BTEC Diploma (Level 2)Uniformed Public ServicesThis qualification has been specificallydesigned to provide an insight into theUniformed Public Services, such as theArmed Forces, Emergency Services andPrison Service. You will take part in practicalactivities to develop personal and vocationalskills relevant to the sector. You will alsobenefit from visits, guest speakers anda residential to supplement the learningexperience. In addition, you will have theopportunity to take part in the Duke ofEdinburgh Award Scheme.Entry RequirementsYou need a range of GCSEs at Grade D and above.There may be the opportunity for you to take FunctionalSkills courses and GCSEs alongside this course.Course ExpensesKit, including a polo shirt, hooded top and gymmembership – approximately £80. You will be expectedto purchase blue trousers or smart tracksuit trousers.Recommended course textbook – £20 (price correct attime of print). Trips and residentials – approximately £100.Trips/ResidentialsYou will take part in trips to relevant sites such as fireand police stations.
