It is actively sought by industry, colleges,universities and the Armed Forces. Some of the benefitsinclude developing self-confidence and self-reliance,gaining a sense of achievement and responsibility,discovering new interests and talents and developingleadership skills and abilities. <strong>Yeovil</strong> <strong>College</strong> offers allthree levels of award: Bronze, Silver and Gold.Charity FundraisingMany of our students decide to collect money andsupplies for national and local charities while at<strong>Yeovil</strong> <strong>College</strong>. In recent years, students in differentdepartments have supported charities including theSt Margaret’s Hospice, the <strong>Yeovil</strong> <strong>College</strong> BursaryFoundation, Help for Heroes, <strong>Yeovil</strong> Women’s Hospital’sFlying Colours appeal, Children in Need, Comic Relief’sRed Nose Day and Operation Christmas Child. Many ofthese collections were supported by staff and studentsfrom across the <strong>College</strong>.Volunteering and Community WorkYou may also like to volunteer in the community or getinvolved in local campaigns. For example, Music studentshave been heavily involved in the Pretty Vacant campaign,Buskfest and many more local events.
