You may also have the opportunity to go on aresidential with the Level 3 students, but this is optional.Previous destinations include China, Africa and Morocco.Work ExperienceYou are encouraged to undertake a work placement in arelevant industry.Career Prospects/ProgressionUpon completion of this course, you can either apply foremployment in the Travel & Tourism industry or continueyour training with a Level 3 Travel & Tourism course.This course also prepares you for a gap year to work andtravel to extend your understanding of the sector.This one year, fast track course is designedto help you enhance your understanding ofthe operations of the Travel & Tourismindustry and the skills and knowledge to workin the sector. There is a great emphasis ondeveloping work-related skills and you willbe encouraged to improve your abilities inall areas through a variety of practical work.You will complete two weeks’ workexperience in a relevant field. The coursecovers areas including business, customerservice, UK destinations, marketing, handlingair passengers, European destinations,tour operations, working as a holiday rep,sustainable tourism, the cruise industry &events, conferences and exhibitions.Entry RequirementsFor this fast track course, you need five GCSEs at grade Cor above, including English Language, and a commitmentto your studies.Course ExpensesRecommended trips – approximately £150. Residential –up to £1000 depending upon destination.Trips/ResidentialThere are a variety of trips which help you complete severalunits.
