A Level (Level 3) AccountsThis course will develop your understandingof Accounting, its purpose, concepts,techniques, development and limitations.You will study areas including accountingrecords, trading & profit & loss accounts,balance sheets, ledger accounts, finalaccounts, limited companies, businessperformance, types of organisations andpublished accounts. It is an ideal subjectfor study alongside A Level Businessor Economics.Entry RequirementsStandard entry requirements apply, including GCSE Mathsat grade C or above.Course ExpensesTextbooks – approximately £18 a year.Trips/ResidentialThere is an optional trip to Europe for you to researchbusiness practice.Career Prospects/ProgressionYou can progress to higher Accountancy courses suchas AAT, other professional qualifications or relatedsubjects at Higher Education level. Alternatively, youcan seek employment. Accounting skills are highly soughtafter in a range of industries.A Level (Level 3)Art & DesignA Level (Level 3)BiologyThis course covers areas of fine art suchas drawing, painting, printmaking, mixedmedia and sculpture and explores thework of various artists, art movements andthemes. Coursework encourages you todevelop skills and an understanding of visuallanguage and associated practical skills,while placing the work in context throughpracticals and researching the work of others.Entry RequirementsStandard entry requirements apply, including a grade Bin GCSE Art.Course ExpensesMaterials – approximately £30, dependent upon choiceof project.
