Getting you into WorkStudents also progressed to employment in a wide range of sectors, includingHospitality, Retail, Sport, Leisure, Business, Beauty Therapy, Hairdressing, Healthcare,Engineering, Childcare and the Creative Industries. Some also joined the Armed Forcesand Emergency Services.Giving You the Skills you NeedYeovil College has excellent relationships with many localemployers, which help to ensure that our qualificationsgive you the skills that employers are looking for. Manyof our qualifications rely on our communication andpartnership with local companies. By listening to whatemployers need, we have more opportunities to provideyou with career-relevant training which gives you the skillsyou need for your future career.Working with EmployersOur subject departments work hard to engage positivelywith employers so that you can benefit from a greaterinsight into the world of work and what employersneed. Many courses give you the chance to work onreal-life projects for employers, meet guest speakersfrom industry and take part in trips to explore relevantbusinesses. Examples include:Chef and award-winning food writer Mark Hix works withHospitality students and has offered work experience athis Lyme Regis restaurant.Graphic Design students work on live briefs for local andnational companies, throughout their course, designinglogos, posters and other materials.
