For scheduled services, the quantity of work will be thenumber of treatments scheduled by the Contractor <strong>for</strong> the monthly evaluation period. The quantity ofwork <strong>for</strong> unscheduled services will be the number of treatments ordered to be completed during themonth.5. Level of Surveillancea. For scheduled services, the normal level of surveillance will be used initially <strong>for</strong> the contract. Goto increased surveillance if the observed defect rate (ODR) <strong>for</strong> timely service or quality of work exceedstheir MADR during any given month. If only the ODR <strong>for</strong> pest records exceeds the MADR, considerincreasing the level of surveillance <strong>for</strong> that work requirement only. Go to reduced surveillance if the ODR<strong>for</strong> both timely service and quality of work are less than ½ the MADR <strong>for</strong> two consecutive months.b. Not applicable <strong>for</strong> unscheduled services.6. Sample Size. The following sample sizes are established <strong>for</strong> each level of surveillance.a. Reduced - 10% of the scheduled treatment locationsNormal - 25% of the scheduled treatment locationsIncreased - 50% of the scheduled treatment locationsb. Not applicable <strong>for</strong> unscheduled services.7. Sampling Proceduresa. Prior to the beginning of the month, the Contractor's approved schedule will be used to determinethe locations <strong>for</strong> scheduled fly control services and the appropriate number of samples based on the levelof surveillance being used. Locations will be chosen on a rotating basis so that all locations willperiodically be included in a sample.QA-50
