When the Contractor's overall per<strong>for</strong>mance <strong>for</strong> any givenwork requirement is unsatisfactory, the QAE will recommend to the COR that a CDR be issued.Instructions on the use of CDRs, along with a typical <strong>for</strong>mat, are included in Chapter 6 of NAVFACMO-327.D. Recommended Deductions. The QAE will recommend to the COR those payment deductionsthat should be made. All work documented as not in compliance with the contract requirements(nonper<strong>for</strong>med or unsatisfactorily per<strong>for</strong>med) is subject to payment deductions plus a 10% or 20%administrative cost (liquidated damages) in accordance with the provisions of the "CONSEQUENCESOF CONTRACTOR'S FAILURE TO PERFORM REQUIRED SERVICES" clause, Section E. SinceGovernment <strong>for</strong>ces are normally not available, the Contractor will usually be required to reper<strong>for</strong>m thework; the 10% factor would be used in this case. However, the Government may choose to let the workgo until the next scheduled occurrence.QA-76
