Goto increased surveillance if the observed defect rate (ODR) <strong>for</strong> timely service or quality of work exceedstheir MADR during any given month. If only the ODR <strong>for</strong> pest records exceeds the MADR, considerincreasing the level of surveillance <strong>for</strong> that work requirement only. Go to reduced surveillance if the ODR<strong>for</strong> both timely service and quality of work are less than ½ the MADR <strong>for</strong> two consecutive months.b. Not applicable <strong>for</strong> unscheduled services.6. Sample Size. The following sample sizes are established <strong>for</strong> each level of surveillance.a. Reduced - 10% of the scheduled treatment locationsNormal - 25% of the scheduled treatment locationsIncreased - 50% of the scheduled treatment locationsb. Prior to the beginning of the month, the Contractor's approved schedule will be used to determinethe locations <strong>for</strong> scheduled ornamental and turf pest control services and the appropriate number ofsamples (e.g., lawn areas, shrubs, etc.) based on the level of surveillance being used. For ongoingservices such as fire ant control, locations will be chosen on a rotating basis so that all locations willperiodically be included in a sample.b.
