--The text should normally be the station location or the subscriber’sname. The maximum number of characters is 16 including thestation directory number.●●Visibility can be set to Local or Global. Visibility is related toAlphaNet when cluster programming is used. See section 6.2.6.--Local: station can be addressed inside the node only.--Global: station can be reached from all nodes in a cluster.A cluster is a subnet of a network, and consists of a number of definednodes.●●Station Type is used to define the type of station on the actualphysical number.--Master Station is the default option. This setting will automaticallydetect the type of station connected.--Sub Station should be selected for stations with limited keypadand PA couplers to avoid e.g. “call me” messages.--Display Station can be selected to ensure faster and safer lineerror detection on stations with displays.Other special station options can be selected to obtain optimalperformance and programming for the relevant stations.●●●●CCoIP or SIP stations are selected by ticking the appropriatecheckbox.The CCoIP Station checkbox results in a field for MAC address anda checkbox for registration with directory number.--<strong>AlphaCom</strong> <strong>XE</strong> can use both methods for identifying an IP station.When configuring an IP station in AlphaPro, you must select whichmethods to use to identify the IP station. The advantage of usingregistration by directory number is that it is easier to replace the stationat a later stage as this does not require new settings in AlphaPro.Directory Number registration--This is the default registration for CCoIP stations.--Tick the Reg. w/Directory Number checkbox to register thestation.MAC address registration--Untick the Reg. w/Directory Number checkbox to bring up theMAC address field.--Enter the station’s MAC address.The MAC address can be found by logging into the web interface ofthe IP station or AlphaWeb under System Monitoring >Stations > Unconfigured.SIP StationTick the SIP Station checkbox if the station is a SIP telephone.When a change has been made to a directory number, the OK andCancel buttons become active.The settings for a station can be swapped with another station by doingthe following:1. Highlight the first station in the list2. Click the Copy button and then highlight the second station3. Click the Swap button to swap the two stations.A100K10805LLOrdinary analog telephones can be connected by using ATLBcards. No configuration is needed to make the phone functionas an ordinary station.
