Annex I: New Zealand's Tariff ScheduleANNEX ISchedule of New ZealandHeadnoteElimination of Customs Duties on Goods Originatingin Brunei Darussalam or ChileIntroductory notesI. The tariff schedule in this Annex contains the following four columns:(a) “Code”: the code used in the nomenclature of the Harmonised System2002.(b) “Description”: the description of the product falling under the heading.(c) “Base Rate”: the basic customs duty from which the tariff eliminationprogramme starts.(d) “End date”: the year in which the tariff goes to zero (i.e. tariff free) for theproduct concerned.II. Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, New Zealand shallprogressively eliminate its customs duties on originating goods of BruneiDarussalam and Chile in accordance with its Tariff Schedule in this Annex.The base rate and the interim rate of customs duty at each stage of reductionfor an item are indicated for the item in the Schedule. Reductions shall occurupon entry into force of the Agreement and thereafter on 1 January of eachyear, as provided for in the Schedule.1-NZ-1
