Legislation alsorequires financial statements in relation to an overseascompany’s New Zealand business. The followingcompanies are required to deliver annual audited financialstatements to the Registrar of Companies for registration:a) issuers – ie those which have raised capital from theNew Zealand public;b) overseas companies;c) subsidiaries of companies or bodies corporateincorporated outside New Zealand; ord) companies in which 25 percent or more of the sharesare held or controlled by:(i) a subsidiary of a company or body corporateincorporated outside New Zealand or asubsidiary of that subsidiary;(ii) a company or body corporate incorporatedoutside New Zealand;(iii) a person not ordinarily resident in New Zealand.III-NZ-1
