One Disk DriveOm:H:>rive NoteTo copy a disk with a one-drive system, invoke the Filer and then replacethe system disk with the source disk. Type T for Transfer. In response tothe transfer prompt, type#4' #4Do not remove your source disk until you are prompted to insert thedestination disk. When it is time to exchange disks, you will see thefollowing message:Insert destination diskPress to continueRemove the source disk and insert the correct destination disk, and pressthe SPACE bar. Soon, you will see this message:Put MYDISK: in unit #4Press to continueYou will see these messages alternately until you have exchanged thesource and destination disks about 8 times on a 128K system and about 20times on a 64K system if you are copying a 5Jr.:1-inch disk. Finally, the Filerwill give you the welcome message:MYDISK: --> EXTRA:Be sure to insert the system disk before Quitting the Filer.We recommend that you copy an entire 3Yz-inch disk on a two-drivesystem, because you must exchange the source and destination disks somany times to make such a copy.If you have only one drive, you cannot make a volume-to-volume copyonto a destination disk that has the same volume name as the sourcedisk. First use either the Change command to change the name of thedestination disk, or the Zero command to rename the destination diskwhile erasing its directory.A second method of transferring the contents of an entire disk is to use the= wildcard option to transfer each file on the disk. With this method, eachfile is moved as a unit.Notice that this method does not destroy the contents of the destinationdisk. Before executing this command, you may want to check thedestination disk to make sure that there is adequate space to copy thecontents of the source disk.
