One 5%-lnch Disk DriveIf you are using a single-drive system, you can use the Filer to Transferall necessary files onto your system disk before ExecutingLIBRARY.CODE. You can also use the Librarian by Executing the fileAPPLE2:LIBRARY with APPLE2: in the drive. When you see the firstprompt shown by the Librarian utility, you can put any other disk in thedrive. With one drive, the output codefile and all linked codefiles must beon the same disk. If that disk is not the system disk, put your system diskback in the drive before you Quit the Librarian utility.When you finish using the Librarian, your Pascal system disk should be inthe startup drive. If it is not there, the system prompts you to replace it.Using the LibrarianTo invoke the Librarian, the system must be at the Command level and theLibrarian program codefile must be in some disk drive. Type x for Execute.The system will prompt you withExecute what file ( to exit) ?You should respond by typing the filename of the Librarian programcodefile:APPLE2:L!BRARYYou do not need to type the suffix .CODE; the system will append the .CODEsuffix automatically. The system executes LIBRARY.CODE, which displaysthe program identification message and the first prompt:Apple Pascal Librarian [<strong>1.3</strong>1Output file ->At this point, you can remove disk APPLE2: from its drive if you need to.The Output FileYou should respond to the output file prompt with the filename of your newlibrary file. This filename is used exactly as you type it; no suffix is addedby the system. If you respond to this prompt by typing SYSTEM.LIBRARY,the system will remove the original SYSTEM.LIBRARY file when theLibrarian is finished, and replace it with your new library file.
