Clear and standardized reporting by allhospitals in the province will help create a patient safety culture in which presentand future health professionals learn from things that go wrong and use andshare knowledge across the system to reduce or eliminate the risk.Kingston General Hospital will collect data to comply with legislativerequirements and Ministry directives on public reporting. The data will be postedon the hospital’s public website and be reported to the Ministry of Health andLong-term Care (MoHLTC).Management will ensure there are defined accountabilities and processes thatsupport the collection, reporting and posting of indicator data in accordance withMinistry directives.References: www.ontario.ca/excellentcare
