The <strong>City</strong> may provide financialassistance for the façade and interior improvement <strong>of</strong> the building up to$15,000 per municipal address, $7,500 for interior work and $7,500 forexterior work. 15% <strong>of</strong> the financial assistance will be in the form <strong>of</strong> a grantgiven as a forgivable loan and 85% will be a loan.LeamingtonLondonGrant/LoanLoanLoanInterest-freeLoanGrantGrantUpper Storey Renovation Program. The program will assist owners withrenovation costs in the form <strong>of</strong> loan and grant funding, to a maximum <strong>of</strong>$100,000 per property, based on 50% <strong>of</strong> renovation costs.Façade Program. Assist owners in upgrading the facades <strong>of</strong> their buildings.Loan would cover up to 30% <strong>of</strong> the cost <strong>of</strong> eligible façade improvements to amaximum loan <strong>of</strong> $20,000Façade Improvement Loan Program – assists Downtown property ownersinterested in improving their building façade. May be eligible for a ten-yearinterest-free loan up to a maximum <strong>of</strong> $25,000 or half the value <strong>of</strong> the façadeimprovements being proposed.Forgivable Façade Improvement Loan ProgramNon-Street Front Facing Improvement Loan ProgramUpgrade to Building Code Loan Program – assists Downtown propertyowners with interior improvements that relate to Fire and Building Coderequirements. May be eligible for a ten-year interest-free loan up to amaximum <strong>of</strong> $50,000, or half the value <strong>of</strong> the work proposed.Forgivable Upgrade to Building Code Loan ProgramTax Back Grant HolidayEconomic incentive for the rehabilitation and/or redevelopment <strong>of</strong>commercial and residential buildings in the core. If property taxes increaseas a result <strong>of</strong> a rehabilitation and/or redevelopment project, the <strong>City</strong> will grantback a portion <strong>of</strong> that tax increase every year, for ten years.A Main Street London Program that provides grant money for building andbusiness owners who want to improve the façade <strong>of</strong> their building.Awning, Signage and Decorative Lighting Grant ProgramEconomic Development Programs371
