6901 COMMUNITY COLLEGEDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONThe Central Virginia Community College (CVCC) is an essential partner to all economicdevelopment and workforce efforts in Virginia’s Region 2000. The college offers thevast majority of all employment training and re-training in the area. It also activelyparticipates in regular and continued evaluation of the needs of employers throughprograms like “Work-keys”, which identifies gaps between job requirements and theskills of present or future employees. The Community College has also become a partnerwith the County in efforts to promote the agriculture industry in Bedford.
