8141, 8142 APPEAL BOARDSDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONThe Circuit Court Judge appoints the Board of Zoning Appeals for a term of four years.The Board is responsible for decisions associated with variances and appeals of thedecision of the Zoning Administrator. The Board of Building Appeals is responsible forhearing appeals of decisions of the Building Official and is appointed by the Board ofSupervisors. Bedford County is required to have a Board of Zoning Appeals and Boardof Building Appeals.
