2120 GENERAL DISTRICT COURTDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONThe General District Court has jurisdiction over adult traffic infractions, adult criminalmatters and civil suits involving less that $15,000. Appealed cases go to the CircuitCourt. The Bedford County General District Court has one full-time presiding judge,four full-time deputy clerks and one clerk of court. The General District Court does notconduct jury trials.
