COMMISSION (TLAC)DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONThe Tri-County Lake Administrative Commission serves as the administrativedepartment for the three counties surrounding Smith Mountain Lake. This Departmentcarries out Smith Mountain Lake planning duties. These duties currently include themanagement and responsibility for the development and maintenance of the navigationaid system, the development and management of all projects related to the control ofinvasive aquatic vegetation and numerous debris responsibilities including workingcooperatively with American Electric Power on this and other lake related issues.This office serves as the first point of contact for lake related concerns for the citizens ofthe counties.
