8220 EROSION & SEDIMENT CONTROLDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONThe Erosion & Sediment Control (also known as Natural Resources) is responsible fororganizing, coordinating and implementing all programs dealing with natural resources inBedford County, primarily construction related erosion and sediment control, stormwater,and environmental related problems. The Department oversees plan review, administrationand enforcement of development guidelines prescribed in the Commonwealth of VirginiaErosion and Sediment Control Law and Regulations as well as the Bedford County Erosionand Sediment Control Ordinance and will be instrumental in the establishment andenforcement of a County-wide Stormwater Ordinance.
