Though she was raised on her family’s vineyard,
Countess Noemi Marone Cinzano discovered her
passion for winemaking late in life. After establishing
the Argiano estate in Montalcino, Italy, she partnered
with renowned Danish oenologist Hans Vinding-Diers
to found Bodega Noemia in the Rio Negro Valley, in
Patagonia. Operating an old malbec winery dating
back to the 1930s, the producer takes advantage of a
microclimate that is perfect for cultivating fine grape
varieties. Her vines are biodynamically cultivated and
certified by Demeter and Argencert. Produced from
premium malbec grapes, her handcrafted wines are
rich, complex, elegant and wonderfully concentrated
in flavor.
The grandson of Marchese Mario Incisa della
Rocchetta, who founded the legendary Sassicaia
winery in Italy, Piero grew up in Tuscany on his family’s
estate, where he naturally absorbed a winemaking
expertise based on a century-old tradition. In 2004,
the young producer acquired a property in the Rio
Negro Valley, in Patagonia. Having revived an aban
doned vineyard dating back to 1932, he now operates
Bodega Chacra, a small-scale estate where pinot noir
reigns supreme, in perfect harmony with nature.
