10.2 Monitoring Community Edition<br />

Community Edition server admin console is integrated <strong>with</strong> a monitoring plug-in that<br />

allows you to monitor and obtain statistics for various Community Edition server<br />

components such as:<br />

• Transaction Manager<br />

• JVM<br />

• AJP/Web/WebSSL connector<br />

• ThreadPool<br />

• Web application<br />

To quickly monitor a server:<br />

1. Start the Community Edition server and launch the admin console. Login as<br />

system (<strong>with</strong> password manager).<br />

2. On the left hand navigation pane, select <strong>Server</strong> -> Monitoring to open the<br />

Monitoring portlet and click on Add a new server under the <strong>Server</strong>s section. This is<br />

illustrated in Figure 10.2 below.
