5. Click the Install button and check if the JDBC driver is now listed in the repository<br />

as illustrated in Figure 4.5 below.<br />

6. Now that you have installed the JDBC driver, you need to configure a database<br />

pool to use it as described in the next section.<br />

4.2.2.2 Configuring and deploying a database pool<br />

A database connection pool is a cache of database connections handled by the application<br />

server so that the connections can be reused when the Web application needs a database<br />

connection in future.<br />

To configure and deploy a database pool from the Admin console, follow these steps:
