The large majority of foreign students in Uganda are enrolled in private universities and private<br />

educational institutions (83% of the total in 2011), as seen in Figure 4. This may be because there<br />

are many more private universities now in Uganda than public ones, or because entry into the<br />

private institutions is easier for foreign students.<br />
