Pier Luigi Sacco<br />

Born 1964 in Pescara, Italy. Lives and works between Padova and Venice. PhD in<br />

Economics, European University Institute. Full Professor of Cultural Economics, IUAV<br />

University, Venice. Deputy Rector and Head of the Dep<strong>art</strong>ment of Arts and Design at the<br />

same university. Area coordinator of Master in Arts and Culture Management, TSM - Trento<br />

School of Management – Trento. His main research topics include cultural economics,<br />

evolutionary game theory, and economics of pro-social behavior. He is author of various<br />

<strong>art</strong>icles on game theory and the economics of visual <strong>art</strong>s which have been published in<br />

internationally acclaimed scientific magazines. sHe is a member of the editorial committee<br />

of the magazines “Etica ed Economia” and “Economia della Cultura”. He is also the<br />

Director of The Fund Raising School in Forli and of goodwill in Bologna.<br />

Marco Senaldi<br />

Born 1960 in Gallaratte, Italy. He is an <strong>art</strong> critic and contemporary <strong>art</strong> theorist, and teaches<br />

Cinema and Visual Arts at the State University of Milano Bicocca in Milan. He curated<br />

exhibitions such as “Cover Theory”, Officina della Luce, Piacenza (cat. Scheiwiller, 2003)<br />

and “Il marmo e la Celluloide”, Villa La Versiliana, Pietrasanta (cat. Silvana editoriale,<br />

2006). His writings have appeared in numerous catalogues and collective publications. He<br />

translated in Italian and edited texts by Gilles Deleuze (Spinoza. Filosofia Pratica, Guerini,<br />

1991) and Slavoj Zizek (Il Grande Altro, Feltrinelli, 1999; Benvenuti nel deserto del reale,<br />

Meltemi, 2002; L’epidemia dell’immaginario, Meltemi, 2004; Credere, Meltemi, 2005;<br />

Il cuore perverso del cristianesimo, Meltemi, 2006). Among other works, he published<br />

Enjoy! Il godimento estetico (Meltemi, 2003, 2006); Van Gogh a Hollywood. La leggenda<br />

cinematografica dell’<strong>art</strong>ista (Meltemi, 2004); Synopsis. Introduzione all’educazione estetica,<br />

con F. Carmagnola (Guerini, 2005); Rapporto confidenziale. Percorsi tra cinema e <strong>art</strong>e<br />

(PGreco, 2007). His interventions have appeared in various magazines: Il Manifesto, Il<br />

Corriere della Sera, Flash Art, Exib<strong>art</strong>, Around Photography.<br />

Žarko Paić<br />

Born 1958. He is a senior lecturer in the sociology of culture, sociology of fashion, semiotics<br />

and visual communications in the fashion design dep<strong>art</strong>ment at the Textile Technology<br />

Faculty of Zagreb University. He is the editor-in-chief of the theory, culture and visual <strong>art</strong>s<br />

journal TVRĐA, assistant editor of the journal EUROPSKI GLASNIK (European Messenger)<br />

and member of the board of the visual <strong>art</strong> magazine ART-E-FACT. He is also editor-in-chief<br />

of publishing house ANTIBARBARUS Editions. Among other works he has published:<br />
