The first ever end-to-gate and fast-track airport experience
service, KUL VIP Access, was launched at KL International
Airport (KLIA) by Malaysia Airports signaling a resounding
success in enhancing passenger experience and creating
joyful moments.
This service allows all international travellers a VIP access
that incorporates limousine services, shopping and dining,
exclusive deals, as well as escort, buggy and fast-track
services. It will also incorporate the previously launched
KLIA Premier Access concierge service, along with two
other services provided by business partners, Plaza Premium
Lounge and KLIA Express.
Malaysia Airports Managing Director, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali
announced that, "In conjunction with Malaysia Airports 25th
Anniversary, we will be giving away 100 complimentary KUL
VIP Access passes to passengers of Malaysia Airlines, Malindo
Air and AirAsia throughout the year."
Badlisham also said that this first-time collaboration with
the three airlines to reward passengers is part of efforts to
fulfill the company’s mission to create joyful experiences by
connecting people and businesses.
KUL VIP Access values between RM200 and RM800. Malaysia
Airports has expressed that it wishes to expand the services
to include pampering packages such as massages, manicures
and pedicures. These additional services are expected to
ease those on transit or always
on-the-go travellers.
Speaking during the launch on
March 15, Deputy Prime Minister,
Dato’ Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi
said the new initiative supports
the government’s target of 36
million tourist arrivals a year by
2020 which will translate into
RM168 billion in tourism income
for the country.
Acting as the Committee on
Tourism Cabinet Chairman,
Ahmad Zahid also said KUL
VIP Access will contribute to
a higher tourist spending with
passengers spending more time
at the airport.
KUL VIP Access – an airportairline
collaboration – is part of
What's
C onverging
Travel Like A King With
KUL VIP Access
the total airport experience initiative as outlined in Malaysia
Airports' five-year business plan, Runway to Success 2020
(RtS2020). The service serves as the umbrella brand name
that promotes and combines the existing services offered
by different operators and market them under one service.
Previously, different operators had offered different services
making it complicated for passengers to enjoy a truly
seamless journey.
With this initiative, passengers are able to enjoy the full suite
of offerings through just one single-point-of-contact. This
collaboration will also allow all parties to do cross marketing
and co-brand in promoting this service. Thus, it will not only be
beneficial for passengers but the airport community as a whole.
