made our P&C airport outlet a favourite among locals and<br />

tourists. The Champions Award for P&C at the Malaysia<br />

Airports Concessionaire Conference 2017 affirmed our position<br />

as the market leader based on customer service level and<br />

sales contribution per square feet. Such recognition spurs us<br />

to work even harder to retain the Champion’s title in the future.<br />

We would also like to state that Malaysia Airports has always<br />

been supportive towards its loyal partners. Developing trust<br />

and a win-win relationship between both parties are important<br />

especially in Malaysia Airports' effort in supporting and<br />

nurturing Bumiputra entrepreneurs in this niche industry into<br />

regional champions. In tandem with the rise of Japanese<br />

tourists in 1980s and 1990s and inbound tourists from China<br />

with high purchasing power in the new millennium, Malaysia<br />

Airports' tactical campaign in marketing KLIA as a shopping<br />

destination in this region has been instrumental to the growth<br />

of duty-free sales for the past 25 years.<br />

A MODEST AFFAIR<br />

We are celebrating our silver jubilee on a small scale. We<br />

believe in keeping a low profile over the years and allow our<br />

action to do the talking instead. We are grateful that we have<br />

been in business for this long and we pray that the established<br />

cooperation with Malaysia Airports shall continue for<br />

generations to come.<br />

On downtown retail, we will continue to seek retail opportunities<br />

in high traffic areas such as premium outlets and tourist<br />

attractions. Through organic expansion, we aim to be a leader<br />

in chocolate specialist retail in Malaysia. On the manufacturing<br />

side, in light of the Government’s increased budget allocation<br />

on food production and emphasis on downstream processes,<br />

we intend to jump on the bandwagon to capitalise on the<br />

opportunities from government agencies. At the same time,<br />

we are intensifying our production output through innovation<br />

and increased production efficiency. Given that food represents<br />

a huge chunk of our trading business, building on our own<br />

production capability can be seen as a way of managing the<br />

risk and exposure to currency fluctuation.<br />

Airport business is pivotal for the Group’s growth as it gives<br />

the Group the recognition and support from principal and<br />

business partners. Airport retail has been and continues to<br />

be a core business for the Group. As a pioneer and a loyal<br />

partner, we definitely look forward to the next 25-year journey<br />

with Malaysia Airports!<br />

in world class beauty products is the de facto number one<br />

P&C retailer at KLIA with several high performing branches<br />

around Malaysia. The success of our P&C business lies in firstly,<br />

a capable team of highly-trained, motivated sales professionals<br />

who are recognised as among the best in the industry and<br />
