Fly with
to Jeddah
Malindo Air is now flying to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from KL
International Airport (KLIA) with a one-hour stop-over in
Ahmedabad, India.
The route, which began on February 21, has introductory
promotional return fares starting from RM3,999 for Business
Class and from RM2,899 for Economy Class.
It flies to King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah from
KLIA Main Terminal Building twice a week between February
21 and March 25. It flies daily from March 26 onwards.
Malindo Air Chief Executive Officer, Chandran Rama Muthy
said the new route allows more visitors to the holy cities of
Makkah and Madinah.
"This will create another affordable option for our Muslim
guests to perform the umrah and haj," he said.
He added the airline has plans to progressively increase
frequencies from twice to four times weekly and daily flight
during the month of Ramadan.
Direct daily flights to Manila
from KLIA starting June 2017
If you're looking to travel to Manila this year, June onwards
would be ideal since Philippine Airlines will resume direct
daily flights from KLIA!
Philippine Airlines Commercial Group Senior Vice President,
David A. Lim speaking at the launch held at The Westin Kuala Lumpur
on February 22
The airline's Senior Vice-President for Commercial Group,
David A. Lim said the flight resumption between both capitals
was in line with the carrier’s route expansion and flight
modernisation after a three-year respite.
Lim said the airline was driven to not only 'sell' Manila to
Malaysian travellers but also to market the Philippines as a
whole and the Americas as well as the Oceania routes.
He added that the reopening was also aimed at capitalising
on the ASEAN economic integration as it would provide direct
access to new business opportunities which included regaining
its market share in Malaysia as it plans to expand code-share
partnership with Malaysia Airlines in domestic flights.
Philippine Airlines stopped its flights to Kuala Lumpur in 2014
largely due to microeconomic factors which included high
fuel prices.
The airline has expanded eight new destinations in 2017 and
plans to expand further till year-end. It currently has 29
domestic flights and 44 international destinations.
